I’m Chelsea Zak (she/her), a New York based music director, composer, arranger, orchestrator, and performer. I hail from Long Island, New York, and have been honing my craft for over fifteen years. At five years old, I started piano lessons, and haven’t gone back since. Over the years, partaking in community and high school theatre productions, rock band, jazz ensembles, arts camp and music and theater classes helped me find and shape my creative voice. Through those opportunities, I have found a slew of incredible mentors, collaborators and friends that I am immensely grateful to have in my orbit.
I am currently working toward a B.A. in Drama and Music with a minor in Creative Writing at Vassar College. My hope is that this site will give you the chance to learn more about who I am as an artist, and the chance to reach out to me about anything like lessons, gigs, bookings, collaborations, transcriptions, music or theatre assistance (whatever that means to you!), etc. Thanks for stopping by!
